|Aim||To get to to know each other; to learn new and/or fun facts about the others; to learn that it’s not always easy to distinguish between truth and lie|
|Duration||5-15 min depending on the group. It might be a good idea to agree on the duration of the exercise in advance|
|Number of participants||any - better for small groups|
|Conditions||Circle of chairs|
|Material||Green and red cards, sheets of paper, pens|
The participants receive one red and one green card each as well as one sheet of paper. Ask them to write three statements about themselves. Only one of the statements should be true, the other two are lies. Afterwards, the statements are read aloud in turns and the members of the group use the red and green cards to vote whether the respective statement is true or false.
After the exercise, point out that on the internet it is much more difficult to determine what is true or false and that it is important to be cautious when it comes to trusting strangers on the web!
